"This series began when I took notice of the everyday objects that surround me. One by one, I set them down on an old matte board and arranged simple settings to paint from life. These paintings evolved into a daily practice. These works are painted on unsealed copper and I would a geometric shape exposed on each piece that will patina with age. They suggest an imaginary museum commemorating our everyday objects: a phone charger, perfume bottle, salt and pepper shaker, a tape measure... Examples of the present becoming the past so quickly. This series of work focused on the documentation of time, memory, and imagination and how through these aspects we may occupy the past, present, and future."
